Week 2: Intoduction and about Enterprise 2.0

Hello everyone. Welcome to my Blog.

I’m Shelly, and I would like to share my views on the importance of writing blogs. But before that let me introduce myself to you. I am a international student from India, and am studying a masters of Information Technology (Advanced) majoring in Network Management. I have been in here for almost a year and a half now and this is my final semester. 

·      Intent of my Blogging.

I never thought that I would be blogging again. But now I realise that blogging is essential to establishing my online presence. I started blogging a few years back and I started just for the fun of it. It was all about getting rid of all of my thoughts that tend to flow around my head so that I can concentrate on my studies and other stuff. But this time it’s serious. I’m blogging for one of my university subjects “Enterprise 2.0”.  I will be making weekly updates to this blog or more related to the topic provided. I expect my blogs would be my insights and reflections of my knowledge and ideas in a way that contributes to the overall development of the community. Above all I also expect and encourage external participations and comments for the blog which will encourage me with the future blogs posts.  The topics will vary every week but would be related to the subject.

I also want this blog to help me expand my perspective and connecting with new people.  Learning from there feedback will help me improve my blogging. Finally it’s more about connecting new people. With the help of this blog I will connect with other students doing this same subject.

·      How I intent to develop interesting posts and gain more readership.

Well I think I should have some blogging strategy in place. I think the blogs should be specific about the topic you choose. It should not divert from the main topic on which you are writing. Another strategy would be to be consistent about posting the articles occasionally. In my case I will post an article at least in a week. This could help me gain more readerships. To help me get more followers on my blog, I will connect and post my blog to
Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest and other social networking sites.

Also I think communicating with other bloggers in my same area of specialization would help me widen my knowledge.Talking about latest topics and events would help me to gain more readers too.
